-> OUTBACK
The vast expanse of the
Northern Territory Outback is predominantly an
unpopulated and
desolate place. Most of the regions' towns, tiny settlements
and attractions are found along the Stuart Highway ("The
Track"), the main thoroughfare between Darwin and Alice
Springs. The remainder lie on highways stretching to Western
Australia, Queensland, and the unspoilt coast on the Gulf of
Carpentaria.
